Why Palomino,Colombia

I chose Palomino for New Beginnings because it’s where my own healing began. In this mystical coastal village, I felt the Earth hold me gently, powerfully as I released what no longer served me and stepped into a new chapter. Palomino is not just a place; it’s a portal. A sacred meeting point between the Caribbean Sea and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a mountain range revered by Indigenous peoples as the Heart of the World.

The Kogui, Arhuaco, Wiwa, and Kankuamo communities believe that the Sierra is the spiritual center of the planet a living body whose rivers are veins, whose peaks are the head, and whose forests are the breath of creation. They see themselves as guardians of this balance, and their wisdom infuses the land with reverence and purpose.

New Beginnings is born from this rhythm. It’s a retreat for those navigating the end of a season whether through divorce, loss, transition, or quiet transformation, and ready to begin again. In Palomino, we don’t just release the past; we plant new seeds. We build new visions. We gather in sacred community to reclaim joy, restore trust in life, and design the next chapter with intention and grace.
